The Hawaiʻi Pandemic Applied Modeling Work Group (HiPAM) met and formed on April 7 as a new collaboration. In the last two months, here is a sampler of what we've been working on:

• DATA REQUESTS:
• HiPAM submitted a first formal data request to Dr Sarah Park of Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) Disease Outbreak Control Division (DOCD) on April 17, 2020: http://go.hawaii.edu/mcA
• In response to this request, Dr Emily Roberson (MQD posted to DOCD) was tasked to liaise with HiPAM.
• As part of an invitation to meet with HiPAM, HiPAM submitted a second formal data request to Dr Sarah Park of DOH DOCD on May 21, 2020: http://go.hawaii.edu/jsA
• We are developing a data request regarding lab testing data in partnership and welcome new collaborators.
• COMMUNICATIONS:
• HiPAM member Adriann Gin of the Hawaii Data Collaborative published a blog on HiPAM entitled "A Missing Piece to Hawaii’s COVID-19 Response: The Hawaii Pandemic Applied Modeling Work Group".
• HiPAM members Marguerite Butler and Istvan Szapudi published an Op-Ed in the Star Advertiser regarding testing: "Should Hawaii test inbound travelers?"
• More white papers, Op-Eds, and communication products are in the works
• MODELS: HiPAM and its individual members have been working on, adapting, or utilizing several models including:
• Hawaii Data Collaborative Synthetic Population Model
• Johns Hopkins G2 Model
• University of Basel Model
